Dr. Knutson came highly recommended. I am 50 years old and have been very active and played sports my entire life, but on the young side for knee replacement. Due to the arthritic constant pain I needed to have something done. Dr. Knutson and I discussed what would be best and we settled on the hope we could do a partial knee replacement vs. a complete. The surgery went very well and his and the outpatient facilities staff all did an exceptional job. I would recommend Dr. Knutson to anyone considering this procedure.

I cannot say enough positive things about this doctor. My wife had her left knee replaced and she recovered so quickly she opted to have her right knee replaced just 5 weeks later. No matter the source, PT therapists, hospital staff, other doctors, they all agree that Dr. Knutson is the best knee and hip surgeon in this area, and probably far beyond that. If you choose him, you should have the best possible experience with your surgery and recovery. 5 star recommendation and well deserved.

Dr. Knutson performed a full knee replacement for me in 2014. I took knee injections for 8 1/2 years prior to the operation. Now, I no longer even think of my knee because it is pain free. I am thankful every day for the Doctors' fine work.

I recently received a hip replacement from Dr Knutson. So far, I'm pleased with the surgery and am recovering well. I did a lot of research on San Diego-area surgeons and, based on reviews, scheduled an appointment with Dr Knutson. After meeting with him and his staff, I selected him as my surgeon. He only does hips and knees, has been specializing in the anterior (less invasive) method for 15+ years, and performs multiple surgeries a week.

Dr. Knutson replaced my right hip 10 months ago and my left hip 6 weeks ago. I was walking and doing my normal activities within a few days because he has perfected the anterior approach surgery. He is an awesome surgeon and gentleman and I highly recommend him!

He did both hips one am. I walked that day and home the next I used tub shower easily. He was the only surgeon I 'interviewed' that actually manipulated my limbs and observed me walking, climbing stairs, etc -- all others only looked at the x-rays. He said I did not need PT. I asked far an 'order', as I was out of shape. The PT specialist said I was at 3 days way beyond in capability anyone he seem before weeks after my surgery. My dermatologist said that the closure was super.

Dr. Knutson performed a total right hip replacement on me in December, 2016. It is mid-February and I feel fantastic. My leg is stronger than it has been in years. Dr. Knutson and his entire staff are very professional, proficient, and attentive. I had heard man great experiences from folks who had used Dr. Knutson and I can be added to that list. So happy to not be physically and mentally drained from dealing with the bum hip. I'm ready to dance again!!!

Dr. Knutson is a highly skilled and personable physician. I wouldn't want to go to anyone else for my orthopedic needs. Additionally, I work in the healthcare field and have seen personally that his clinical outcomes exceed all other within his field in the north San Diego County area.
