Seriously, the most rude doctor I have ever been to. It was baffling how condescending and negative he is. He seems annoyed by any questions that are asked and even scoffed at one? What's with the no eye contact too? He needs to retire.

This man is the most rude, condescending doctor I have ever seen. He made me feel like I was wasting his time and interrupted me every time I was trying to answer his questions. He did not listen to me when I was trying to explain my problem stating he could not understand why an ER doctor would send me to see him. He is arrogant, hateful and belongs in another profession.

It was the Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. He made me feel like he didn't want to treat me, he was so rude. And he didn't figure out why im having headaches every single day for 3 months already. I Would NEVER EVER recommend him to anyone. I don't have an insurance so I paid him in cash and It was a waste money.

I was a Patient of Dr. Houts in the mid 1990's to the early 2000's. I came to the Dr for severe Migraine headaches. I was in college at the time and was also working a job (Firefighter/Paramedic) and my pain got severe while I was in training for Paramedic. Dr. Houts was one of the finest and most caring physicians that I have ever seen, including now. He didn't rush me in our appointments and really wanted to not only find the cause, but also prescribed appropriate therapy. Success! thanx doc

I feel a bit bad about leaving a bad review, but I have to say it's a bizarre experience to be treated by Dr. Houts. I suspect that he either has high functioning aspergers or some other similar condition. He seems to have a hard time with social cues and communications, and has difficulty looking the patients in the eye. On the good side, he doesn't rush you through the appointment, but on the bad, when I requested my anti-nausea med, he googled it and then lectured me on how expensive it was.
in Sandy, UT |
Just didn't seem interested in trying to figure out what was wrong with me. Made me feel like I wasn't important. Answered 3 phone calls while in my presence. Started to explain to me how I could have filled out my paperwork better. For example...put numbers by my symptoms instead of just writing them out next to each other because apparently he was confused by why I was there. Just an really bad experience overall. I would not recommend him to anyone and he should stop practicing.
Price, UT |
Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. Everything was out of date, he made me feel like he didn't want to treat me, just an overall bizarre experience. Would NEVER EVER recommend him to anyone.

My MD found some spots on a MRI he sent me to Dr Houts he said the spots where from me getting OLD. And that everybody has head aches. He started me on some meds that made my nose bleed so I called him and he said well stop taking the med. We back later and still doesn't have a clue whats going on. What a waste of a nice office.
