He is motivated to do what is best for his patients without concern for personal gain and takes the prudent conservative course of treatment choosing surgery as the last option. He also went out of his way to consult with and refer me to a fellow orthopedic surgeon in Texas where I now live who Dr. Hoerner felt was best for the reconstructive procedure I would need. I can't thank Dr. Hoerner enough for his competence and concern for the well being of his patients.

Conditions Treated

Dr. Hoerner says..

I will be forever grateful for my youthful experience as the Grandson of an Engineer and the son of the Medical Director of the New Jersey Orthopedic Hospital. As a youth I sustained a fracture dislocation of my elbow with a long recovery requiring farther surgery at HSS. These experiences moved me to a love of Orthopedic Surgery for all it importance to individuals and their quality of life. I have spent 31 years in surgical practice since completing one of the most competitive  training  programs in the country. As a medical student at Cornell and the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York and in my Residency in the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic program followed by my Fellowship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital I had an extraordinary experience in the development and evolution of modern Total Knee Replacement surgery. 6 years ago I travelled to Houston to learn Anterior Total Hip Replacement surgery from Dr. Stefan Kreuzer and more recently MAKO robotic surgery from Dr. Robert Marchand. I will continue to work to be as excellent and cutting edge a surgeon as I can be to minimize risk and give my patients the best outcomes
