*CHARLOTTE NC REVIEW* PREVIOUS PATIENT: TRACY SANDERS DR HEIL IS AN AMAZING DOCTOR. HE GOES BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY. My husband had a motorcycle accident: BROKEN PELVIC and LEAKING SPINE which led to 4 HIP REPLACEMENTS. Cause of accident: BRAIN TUMOR (Acoustic Neuroma). After the first HIP REPLACEMENT, my husband complained to his surgeon, NOTHING WAS DONE UNTIL DR HEIL STEPPED IN! DURING A VISIT WITH DR HEIL, AS USUAL, HE ASKED ABOUT “ALL” OF MY HUSBANDS ISSUES. AFTER LISTENING AND EXAMINING, DR HEIL WALKED OUT OF OUR ROOM, CALLED THE SURGEON, CAME BACK AND SAID, “GO TO HOSPITAL NOW, IT’S INFECTED!” His FACE said it all. HE CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS AND WILL GO TOE TO TOE WITH ANY DOCTOR. DR HEIL WENT ABOVE THE CALL. HE MONITORED MY HUSBANDS BACK, HIPS, ACOUSTIC NEUROMA and ORDERED MRI’S. THAT’S NOT HIS JOB, but THAT’S WHO HE IS! HE EVEN LEFT US IN GOOD CARE WITH DR RUSSELL DAVENPORT, CHARLOTTE NC. MY HUSBAND LIVES WITH PAIN BETTER BECAUSE OF THESE DOCTORS. Best- Tracy & Lisa

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Heil, and then read these other reviews so I was a little nervous to see him. I've suffered from chronic neck pain and migraines for 7 years after an accident, so I decided to see him anyway. I found both him knowledgeable and helpful. He was direct, but not cold or harsh as others have mentioned. I'm glad I went to see him and have a plan for my care.

The worst non empathetic doctor I have ever encountered, and I’ve seen and worked with a lot of doctors. God forbid anything traumatic happens to his family and they get treated like I’ve been. His gift of discernment is off &treated me as if I was a bum off the street. Who tells someone “no one would be working if they were in pain”? But was everyone in a MVA. Never felt so disrespected w/lack of concern. I never leave reviews. But this guy is haunting. Look of “who cares”. Karma/God will avdve

Dr Heil is an amazing pain doctor. I had a cervical disc herniation at c6. He was instrumental in getting an epidural steroid injection in place quickly to get me relief without narcotics. I was a bee to get back to work and after 4-6 weeks, i am noting no pain or numbness in left arm. He was the best pain doctor in Charlotte and likely the southeast that I have gone to in 10 years. I have sent several friends to him, and they are always impressed with his smile, his sweet and caring personality

I would NEVER recommend anyone to see Dr. Heil. He was the most pathetic physician I've ever seen. I went for a surgery consult and left his office in amazement of the lack of professionalism.

I drove 2 hrs each way, was in the patient room for maybe 1 1/2 hrs, seen by a very friendly and sweet nurse, a cold but efficient PA, and finally Dr. Heil. He said he did not have time to give me the two injections, so I will drive back again tomorrow, 2 hours each way, and hope to get the injections and some pain relief. So no stars earned for a very disappointing appointment.

Dr Heil only wants to give you injections to make money from your insurance. He doesn't take time to listen to you . He could care less if you are in pain or not . I would not recommend Dr .Heil to my worst enemy . Worst doctor I have ever seen .

Lacking in compassion and care for this patients who may be suffering. His staff are like the gestapo and even getting checked in is an ordeal. Dr Heil himself seems very unconcerned for anything more than himself.

He is cold and totally arrogant and doesn't listen to a word you say. It's really sad to see a Dr that doesn't care about his patients but that's him. I would recommend another dr if you want to be treated fairly.

Even though he was over 30 min late to see me for my first appointment, I would highly recommend his as a your pain Doctor. He was very caring and took time with me to listen to all I had to say, I have seen 2 orthopedic doctors that told me pretty much to work through the pain and there was nothing they could do for me. With Dr Heil we have a plan to at least try to manage my pain. Again this was my first visit and have extreme faith in his to help me with pain.
