Dr. Fry is an Orthopedic Surgeon dedicated to returning his patients to their normal activates at home, work, and play. He considers it a privilege to help people with their problems. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH). Born and raised in Central Ohio he graduated from the University of Notre Dame and then Ohio State University College of Medicine. He served in the United States Army for over 10 years during which time he completed an internship in Hawaii and an orthopedic residency in Denver, Colorado. He served as chief of the department of surgery including Orthopedics, General surgery, Podiatry, and Physical Therapy at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Dr. Fry then completed a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Miami in Florida where he spent time at the University Hospital, Children's Hospital, and the Veterans Hospital. He then served as Chief of the Hand and Upper Extremity Service in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery (where his responsibilities included teaching upper extremity surgery) at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii prior to moving to Denver in 1988 with his wife and 2 children. Dr. Fry has been serving the Northwest side of Denver and Boulder for over 25 years, specializing in trauma and reconstructive surgery in the entire upper extremity including shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand and fingers. He provides consultations, second opinions, and independent medical evaluations as well as surgical and nonsurgical treatment. He continues to enjoy teaching young men and women about orthopedics and upper extremity medicine.
