Both my wife and I have had surgery with Dr. Freeman, about a year apart, and he, his entire team & all of Tampa General Hospital staff were tremendous. We both had terrible back issues and Dr. Freeman performed fusions and disk replacement and did a tremendous job and we are both pain free.

I have been trying for two months to get an appointment with Dr. Freeman. I have spoken to five different people and now I am NOT getting any return calls when I leave voice messages. I was aso given four different FAX numbers for the office. I am very, very frustrated with this office and their lack of communication with patients. At this point I would NOT recommend attempting to get an appointment with Dr. Freeman.

At the end of 2016 when I found out I had to see a neurosurgeon for a large neurofibroma that was discovered on my spinal cord, I was a bit terrified to say the least. Since this was kind of a rare condition, my neurologist further suggested that the neurosurgeon be someone within the academic community. I thank the Lord first and foremost for keeping me safe. I thank the Lord for Dr. Freeman-I am grateful to you Dr. Freeman for taking such care on my surgery. No more shooting leg or back pain!

Dr. Freeman and the staff at Tampa General are AMAZING. Before Dr. Freeman performed surgery on me (L3/L4 - L5/S1) I was unable to walk due to nerve compression and also had right foot drop (over 10 days). I had been shuffled around from my primary care doctors and finally given an MRI, then was told to RUN (figuratively) to Tampa General Hospital. Thank goodness I did - I am now able to walk, am pain free and on the road to a full recovery. Thank you Dr. Freeman, I am forever grateful.

I was in pain since 1982, had a failed back surgery in 1997. Herniated L4/5 for a second time in 2004 and had severe butt pain. I went to Dr Freeman in June 2015. He advised me I would be in a wheel chair in 2 years if I did not have the surgery. He performed a Laminectomy on L1/2/3 and fusion on L4/5. T he surgery was performed August 2015 and he took away the pain. This is the best I have felt since 1982. I still have mild pain from time to time but I am no longer a 10 on the pain scale

Excellent surgeon! No more back pain or numbness down the leg. Explained everything in detail. No surprises. Spent time explaining the surgery, post op care etc. Never rushed.

I was impressed by the amount of time Dr. Freeman spent with me at my appointments. . In the first appointment he made a diagnosis that 2 other physicians had not made after some history with them. He carefully and thoroughly answered my questions. He performed surgery on my lower back and SI joint. The surgery was very successful - reducing pain on one side from a 10 down to a 1 or two. On the other side, the pain went from a 7 to -0-. I would definitely recommend his services.
