This content was provided by Dr. Ellis "Thomas S. Ellis, MD FACS, Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery is a fifth generation native Texan, born and raised in Dallas. A National Merit Commendee from Highland Park High School, he graduated with Honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduating first in his class at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, he completed his training in General Surgery there, as well. Dr. Ellis completed his training in Neurological Surgery at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, under the tutelage of world renowned neurosurgeons Dr. Edward R. Laws, Jr and Dr. Laligam Sekhar, where he was awarded the prestigious Hugo V. Rizzoli Award for Outstanding Achievement in Neurosurgical Training. As a founding investigator of the Harvey G. Ammerman Laboratory for Cranial Base and Cerebrovascular Research at The George Washington University, Dr. Ellis has helped train visiting neurosurgeons and neurosurgical residents from around the world, and continues to provide training at societal meetings. He continues to actively publish and present at national societal meetings. His professional interests center around the treatment of cranial base lesions, aneurysm and vascular neurosurgery, pituitary surgery, radiosurgery, in addition to general cranial, spinal and pediatric neurosurgery.Personally, Dr. Ellis's life centers on his family. He enjoys kite surfing, hunting and camping."

The results from the surgery are great! I still have a small amount of pain but time should take care of that. We had a few issues getting the tests scheduled before the surgery but the girls did an outstanding job. I recommend this office to everyone I know.

The best dr as for as me and my husband are concerned . Two surgeries on my husband and brain tumor on me. He was a god sent. I will always be grateful to him.

He has been so successful in the 3 operations he has performed on me this last year and a half. I had about given up on anyone being able to give me the ability to walk like I used to.

Dr. Ellis has performed 3 spinal surgeries on me in the last 4 years. Each surgery has been successful with great outcomes. He listens and has always taken into consideration my concerns.
