Had to wait 2 months for an appointment for an unknown allergy. Tried several meds...no help. Severe itching and no sleep. Ordered a drug with lethal contraindications and I've been waiting at the pharmacy over 3hrs for a simple conversation between the Dr and pharmacist to resolve the problem. Still waiting....

I was very disappointed with the level of service at Dr. Burke's office. I was asked to fill out my medical history before I went in the very large queue of patients in the waiting room. My history includes skin cancer of several family members. I had to wait over 20 minutes to be called back to the office. Dr. Burke came in with his assistant and looked over all areas of my body explaining what he saw and said he saw nothing of concern. I mentioned a dry patch on my back that was itchy. He froze something nearby the area, but did not address my concern. He never sat down and never discussed my family history or any of the other medical information I had been asked to fill out. It was a very rushed appointment - certainly NOT what I would call a new patient visit. I would never go back, nor would I recommend this practice.

Tom Burke cares more about his time than the comfort of his patient as was well demonstrated during my visit. When I confronted him about it, he became argumentative. I wanted to stop him in the beginning of the procedure but it took more than a month to get the appointment. Once the skin sample was removed, I followed up with his office for 4 weeks with no return phone calls. Tom even left a comment in my file that I had an "uncertain behavior!" I strongly urge others to seek help elsewhere with a competent professional as he is not.

I cannot believe that anyone could have a bad word about Dr Burke. He is the most AMAZING doctor. As other reviews have said, he really takes the time to listen to your concerns and he is very honest with his answers. I have sent people to him and they could not be happier. I guess you can't please everyone. Also, I think the entire staff is fantastic.

Patient Beware! Stay far away from this practice. Not only is Dr Burke a complete jerk, his staff are even worse. Burke is a butcher now, not a dermatologist. I used to hear good things about his practice but I think his arrogance has now taken over and he clearly does not care about his patients. If you are looking for a good doctor & staff in Newark DE, Do yourself a favor (especially if you need skin cancer removed) and go across the hall to Dr Chang or go to Premier. Burke needs to hand his license to practice back into the board and fire his entire incompetent staff.

i clearly told Dr Burke that this was my first time at the dermatologist, and I did not know what to expect. He said he saw two spots on my face that could be pre-cancer, without any explanation and without a verbal consent...he zapped them with the freezing gun. He also zapped a bump on my hand, but never explained anything...not that it would blister, etc. If he had taken the time to explain the aftercare, I might have waited for the fall, not the beginning of summer. When I left I didn't receive discharge papers or aftercare instructions. He and the nurse just walked out, I guess my 5 minutes were up? Maybe they had to run and bill my insurance company a zillion dollars? I now have a blister the size of Michigan on my hand. I called this morning and spoke to his nurse to express my concerns. She was rude, condescending and patronizing. I told her, I am not stupid, you don't have to speak to me that way! What a way to make a bad situation worse. Choose a different Dr.

I've been going to Burke Dermatology for years now and have always had a great experience. The front desk staff is warm and welcoming and the rest of the crew is always quick with a friendly smile. I've always worked with Dr. Burke and he is thorough and professional. Melinda Wachowski is my favorite medical assistant to work with! She is sweet, friendly, funny, professional, and calming. My 4yo loves going with me to see the fish in the aquarium and may even walk out with a toy or a balloon ani

Burke is good. Office staff is terrible. Rude. Set up appointment far in advance, then appointment cancelled or changed at last minute after making arrangements to be off from work. Staff too busy talking amoungst themsleves to actually get work done. If he would get some decent office staff it would be a better place for treatment.

I went to Burke for skin cancel removal on my face. I had Basal Cell on my nose and chose Burke because he performs the Mohs surgery. If you know anything about Mohs, it is designed to be microscopic & the least invasive type of skin cancer removal. Burke did not do Mohs on my face, he created a huge hole in my nose that I now have a terrible scar. To put it frank, he butchered me. Why? Because I complained about his office manager who was very rude to me when I arrived to my appointment.

I visited Dr. Burke for the first time today. I worked over thirty years as a health-care professional and seek recommendations only from those like me. I found Dr. Burke to be professional, warm, thorough, and unhurried. He took the time to answer every question. His medical assistant, Sandy, made me feel at ease and cared about. She is one of the kindest helping professions I've ever met! Would highly recommend this practice!
