About Me

Care Philosophy

My patients constantly remind me what is most important in their treatment is not my experience...the years of training or the thousands of surgeries, but listening to them and working to help them reach their own goals, whether those goals be returning to intense competition or simply maintaining an active lifestyle.

I went to Dr Schlegel for shoulder pain. As it turned out, I had a severe rotator cuff tear along with a couple of other problems in my shoulder as well. Dr Schlegel fixed everything. He explained everything clearly to me and never made me feel like he was in a hurry. He and his entire staff made me feel very comfortable in the whole process beginning to end. Now, 10 months later, my shoulder is stronger than it has been in probably 15 years and I am pain-free. I am so grateful. Thank you Dr S!

I visited Dr. Schlegel and Mike Allen with a shoulder problem I had for a year and half. They prescribed some treatments that in five weeks virtually remedied the soreness. The treatments increased my shoulder strength by 20% and more since then, and soreness disappeared. It was incredible. They were timely, understandable, patient, calm , efficient and effective, and, most of all, they did not offer excessive treatments or surgery. I am a believer in them and their advice.

Dr. Schlegel is the best orthopedic surgeon that I have ever been too. I came in with chronic knee pain and he worked with me patiently as my family and I came up with a solution that I was comfortable with. I would 10/10 recommend Dr. Schlegel to anyone experiencing any orthopedic pain.
