This content was provided by Dr. Pope "Dr. Pope earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering at Kansas State University and he earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Wright-Patterson Medical Center in Ohio and his cardiology fellowship at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. He served 12 years in the United States Air Force as an internist and cardiologist, including three deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He left the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2010. He has been board certified in Internal Medicine and currently holds board certification in Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology. He is an invasive cardiologist with interests in stress testing, echocardiography, and enjoys both office and hospital-based general cardiology."

Dr. Pope was a very careful listener, was unhurried and spent plenty of time with me determining my situation. He then worked out a plan for my future care and explaining my needs. His assistant, Casey (sp?), was especially attentive as well. I look forward to visiting his office again.

I had a Pacemaker installed in February of this year. It was installed on Monday morning at 7am. On Tuesday morning I asked if I could get out and go back to work. After being treated by other physicians, I was fortunate to have Dr Pope as my cardiologist! After one visit, he had me on the correct medication & a plan for a healthy heart. He answers your questions completely & in terms I understand. I highly recommend Dr. Pope for your cardiac needs!!
