Dr. Friedman's bio
This content was provided by Dr. Friedman "Dr. Theodore C. Friedman, MD, PhD, takes time away from his research duties as Chief of Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Molecular Medicine, at UCLA's Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, to conduct a private practice Tuesday nights. Dr. Friedman detects and treats pituitary, thyroid and adrenal disorders, including Cushing's disease and syndrome; hypopituitarism; thyroid disease; adrenal insufficiency; chronic fatigue; testosterone deficiency, and growth hormone deficiency. His practice includes hormone replacement therapy. His career is dedicated to better understanding and treating endocrine systems; a complex field of medicine, but Dr. Friedman loves a good puzzle! With both medical and doctoral degrees, he has conducted studies, and cared for patients, at some of the country's most prestigious institutions, including the University of Michigan, the National Institutes of Health, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and of course, Charles Drew University. Dr. Friedman has medical privileges at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Multi-Service, Ambulatory Care Center (MACC,) in its beautiful new, state-of-the-art facility. Dr. Friedman has seen hundreds of patients at his private practice of 15 years, from all over the country, and the world. He is one of the few private doctors in the country to offer the growth hormone and cortisol stimulation tests. His book, "The Everything Guide to Thyroid Disease," is a layperson's guide to his unique and thorough care, and in its second edition. Dr. Friedman has given interviews for magazines, radio, television and Internet programming, and has written medical articles of note. He has appeared on "best of" lists, when the subject of locating a good endocrinologist is addressed in the media. You will find Dr. Freidman's office unpretentious and approachable. He does not talk down to a patient, and will share his endocrine knowledge with you intelligently and thoroughly; he welcomes a patient's hunches about his/her condition. Dr. Friedman loves the endocrine system, and is dedicated to your Good Hormone Health. email: email@example.com "
