I was seen by the student doctor for 20 minutes (plus a 5 min exam). He left the room for 3 minutes to translate info to Dr. Tarrant. She came in and immediately, with no follow-up discussion or exam, said she saw notes from another hospital and agreed with a vague, inaccurate diagnosis. When I asked for the diagnostic criteria that I meet for diagnosis to be put in writing, my records were falsified with information never discussed at the appointment to simply support an inaccurate diagnosis (for which I do not meet criteria). TEN falsehoods had to be corrected in my records (completed within 48 hours). Dr Tarrant claims to be a Sjogrens specialist, but had either zero knowledge or interest in the numerous studies (Mayo, NIH, Vanderbilt, etc...) that show SSA/B antibodies are only positive in about 40% of Sjogrens patients (a Mayo study shows as low as 10%). A most upsetting experience. Do not recommend.

Dr Tarrant was fabulous. I had been seen by Dr. Yount (worthless) at UNC Chapel Hill because the wait time to see Dr. Tarrant was several months (she is also a research doctor). But I am happy I waited. She is very compassionate and empathetic--and really cares about the individual as a person. I wasn't just a set of test results and symptoms--I was a whole person. I very much appreciated the time Dr. Tarrant took with me to explain her deductions and recommendations for a course of action.
