If you're looking for treatment based on a finely tuned diagnosis Dr. Thomas is the doctor. I like that he's open to alternative treatments and supplements. I'm very happy I found him. He's the only neurologist in Knoxville who has done a fellowship in muscular neurology (and one of only three in TN) beyond, of course, a neurology residency, a great choice for my peripheral neuropathy. (Time spent with you may seem short, though, as Knoxville needs more neurologists and he stays on schedule.)

When I started seeing Dr Thomas (before 2009 I believe) he was quite helpful, informative and friendly, that is no longer the case. The last time I visited him, (2016) he was rude, arrogant and treated me very poorly. I left angry, confused, disappointed and in tears. I have also seen the NP Harriet, I really like her and she is very capable. But because of Dr Thomas's actions (not just the the last time) I have chosen to become a patient of another neurologist.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR TO SEE MY DOG, MUCH LESS, A HUMAN BEING. From the first time I had "dealings" with this Doctor supposedly "caring" for my Dad, he was rude and very poor personal skills. I remember referring to him after an appointment I attended with my Dad as acting as if a Doctor with the "God syndrome" bow tie and all. I do hope that everyone reviews their Doctors, especially this one. Shame on you Fort Sanders Knoxville Neurology Group for having him in your presence.

Dr. Thomas took the time to listen to me, review my situation and perform test that determined my nerve was cut by a surgeon who did carpal tunnel surgery. He, himself immediate spoke directly with another surgeon who could repair the damage. He and his staff made arrangements for me to see the surgeon the next day. He was bound and determine to get me the help I needed. I appreciate his dedication to my case and my care.

I can not believe that people put up with this man! He wrote me off before I could even explain my situation. He chastised me for being on disability. Told me he could not help me and told me to go to Vandy. Really? I waited 3 hours to see this man and got nothing except a 354.00 fee for visit! Never Again!

Dr. Thomas is very bright, I believe, and was very thorough when I first became his patient. BUT once it became clear that he could do nothing other than help control pain, he basically wrote my case off and stopped trying. He doesn't listen, he doesn't ask questions, and he's barely civil during appointments. A shame really, since he could've been a great doctor.

For the first time after seeing after 2 neurologists & 2 podiatrists, Dr. Thomas heard me and got what I was explaining. I literally cried when leaving the office because he is by far the Best I have seen and most attentive. I did wait, but I think it was because I was a new patient and info having to be entered in, but again, well worth the wait to see him.
