Greenville nc |
This is the rudest Doctor. I will not go back. Her office looks like a vet office with all the animal pictures on the wall. She has no compassion for patients. Nasty attitude
Fayetteville, NC |
Recently moved to NC and started seeing Dr. Givre. Dr Givre is knowledgeable & straightforward. She may not prioritize small talk and head-patting, but that's not what I go to the doctor for. I have high-risk eye & neurological conditions and need quality info on what my options are & how best to manage. She did the imaging on my retinas herself to make sure there was a good view of the affected areas, so I know exactly what's happening to my eyes over time. Staff are kind & super organized.
Punta Gorda, FL |
Doc is very cold not friendly. Doc asked the patient what the patient wanted her to do about the condition. Basic eye exam and told nothing can be done. Patient left the office the same way..in pain and irritation with no answers.

Referred to Dr. Givre by my Retina specialist. Was concerned based on reviews on this site. She was thorough and professional. She described all planned tests, asked questions, listened and was thorough. I had 3 different tests with each step clearly explained by either Dr. Givre or her staff. She validated the conclusion of my Retina Surgeon but also ordered additional tests to rule out other possible causes. Within 4 hours of test completion, she called me with results and next steps.

I received a thorough examination, relevant testing, and a good explanation of my condition. Dr. Givre took the time I needed to understand what has happened in my eyes. There was a building fire drill in the middle of her discussions with me. We had to vacate the building. Once outside Dr Givre came to me while we were outside and continued our conversation away from others. She could have been anywhere but she choose to find me and try to explain her diagnosis. She was business like but kind.
Durham, NC |
I saw Dr. Givre for eye pain and blurs, stars, etc. I mentioned my other neuro symptoms, in case the cause was neurological. Dr. Givre gave me a basic eye exam and said my eyes are fine and then sat back and stared at me silently. I stammered "but what about the blurs and the pain?" and she said it was just a headache. Her stony glare seemed to be daring me to ask her another question. I didn't. Retrobulbar ON can't be seen with a basic eye exam, but I didn't know about that at the time.
in Clayton, NC |
I would not recommend Dr Givre to treat any pediatric patients at all. She told my 16 yr old daughter that her pseudotumor cerebri was caused by being overweight, and that losing weight would cure the increased intracranial pressure. She was condescending to my daughter, myself, and my husband. She rolled her eyes when she learned I am an RN and had done some research, and she was insulted when my husband, daughter, and I asked questions for clarification. She is unprofessional and misleadin
