Dr Zannikos is a fantastic surgeon. I highly recommend him. 4 stars due to His office staff. Very disappointing. They don't make you feel at ease like they should. Messages are not passed along in a timely manner to Doctor. If you need a prescription refill, forget it. Would seem everyone is an addict in their minds.

Dr. Zannikos and his staff have always been very professional and helpful on every single of my visits and phone calls. My surgery went very well thanks to the excellent surgery he did on my disc at L5-S1. Recovery was as he explained to me before surgery. I am grateful to him for the pain relief and I highly recommend him to anyone that needs disc surgery. cindy

I could not have asked for a more knowledgable and skilled surgeon than Dr Zannikos. My cervical disc replacement surgery involving C5-C6 and the removal of a large disc herniation was handled perfectly by Dr Zannikos and his incredible team.

Since 2019, my husband began having issues with walking and balance. After several months of therapy an mri was ordered which showed spinal compression of C3-4 and C4-5. We were recommended to Dr. Zannikos which resulted in the need for surgery to relieve pressure on the spinal cord. Procedure was performed on Dec 2020 without incident and my husband went home the morning after. Dr. Zannikos was attentive during consultation, pre-op and post-op, explained method of treatment and aftercare. My spouce is doing great and we are finally able to go to our walks together again. We are both very happy with the care we received.

Dr. Zannikos at Orthopedics New England is a very caring and skilled surgeon. My L5 collapsed and moved forward on my S1 due to old fractures from high school football. This progressed over time and I was in pain 24/7. Dr Sullivan recommended for me to see Dr. Zannikos and it was the best thing that could have happened to me. After minimally invasive spinal fusion surgery to join the two bones together, I was walking the same day and home by noon the next day. I am doing absolutely fantastic and I recommend back surgery from Dr. Zannikos at Orthopedics New England for those that need it. Thank you Dr and staff!

I had two discectomy and laminectomy surgeries with another Doctor and was referred to Dr. Zannikos by my primary care doctor because of persistent leg and back pain. From the beginning, I was pleased with his manner and character and felt at ease. I had my fusion surgery (L4-L5) in late 2020. The whole experience was magnificent and far exceeded what I expected. The hospital was great and I felt like I had really, really great care. I feel great and strong. I can finally stand straight and walk without pain. I would recommend Dr. Zannikos to anyone who requires this type of surgery. He is the best! Thank you so much.

Dr. Zannikos performed surgery on me almost a month ago to remove a cyst pressing against my nerves in my low back. The pressure from the cyst was causing consant severe and debilitating shooting pain down my behind and through my foot. Dr. Zannikos did an outstanding job of removing the cyst, and had me up and around within hours, and taking short walks within days. His professionalism and demeanor gave me both confidence and comfort, going into and recovering from the operation.

I recently saw Dr. Zannikos for my 2 year FU. Very positive experience with this office and doctor. The first thing that stands out in my memory is that Dr. Zannikos was very patient and cautious about proceeding with surgery on the first visit. He listened about all my various pains. I had chronic neck and shoulder blade pain. He recommended physical therapy first, and then steroid injections with Dr. Sullivan. When i was not improved as much as I wanted about 6 mos later I scheduled surgery in the form of a cervical disc replacement. I now live an active life and can do anything I want without pain. HIGHLY recommend this doctor.

This doctor spent only a few minutes with me. He did not make connections with my symptoms but told me I may need to see someone in the very distant future. Had he spent a few more minutes with me and been thorough (I had an EMG, MRI and X-rays for him) I could have been treated properly. I am now suffering with irreversible nerve and muscle damage that could have been treated. My hand will continue to lose function that will never return. Beyond frustrated and devastated!

A+ for Dr. Zannikos. Two successful spinal surgeries 5 years apart. So grateful for his expertise and skill. Terrible pain was relieved immediately upon both surguries, microdisce tomy and later a fusion. Would not hesitate to recommend him.

My neurologist referred me to Dr. Zannikos after discovering a herniated disc in my neck. I was extremely happy with him and his staff. He spent as much time as I needed with me and I was not rushed. He is very personable and answers all questions. I felt at ease with him when it came time for my surgery; Once the surgery was completed my pain was gone and I can walk normally again with no pain or weakness in my arms or legs. The feeling and strength in my hands and arms has returned. Very thankful for his help and efforts to get me back to normal

Dr. Zannikos performed a microdiscectomy on L4/L5 and L5/S1. The surgery was a success in my opinion, and I haven't realized all of the benefits yet considering I'm only 4 months out of surgery. Most important was how thorough, patient and kind Dr. Zannikos was and continues to be. He took time to answer all of my questions, which many specialists do not. He schedules numerous follow ups after surgery, which his office doesn't bill for but is considered part of the initial surgical costs. In this day and age, I'm always surprised when a doctor's office doesn't take every opportunity to rip you off. Bottom line, I can't recommend Dr. Zannikos enough.

I chose Dr Zannikos after 2 other consultations. He performed a less invasive L4-5 fusion for my problem and I was extremely pleased with its success. He was a good listener, very precise in his review of my problems and took time explaining the surgery and recovery to me. He was very patient to answer all of my questions before during and after the surgery. His entire staff were very professional. I also found everyone at the hospital very qualified and experienced and had no problems going home the next day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
