This content was provided by Dr. Shah "Dr. Shah is board certified in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery with subspecialty fellowship training in Pediatric Otolaryngology. After receiving her B.S in Microbiology at the University of Georgia, she completed her medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine outside of Atlanta. She completed her Otolaryngology residency at Detroit Medical Center where she rotated at Children's Hospital of Michigan and the Michigan Ear Institute. During residency she was an associate educator at Michigan State University and was honored by her peers and mentors by being selected as Chief Resident. She then completed a one year advanced fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Shah is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. She has published and presented her research on laryngomalacia in peer-reviewed journals as well as national meetings. She practices the breadth of pediatric otolaryngology with specialized areas of clinical interest which include open and endoscopic airway surgery, congenital cervical anomalies, laryngomalacia, and surgical treatment of velopharyngeal insufficiency."
