Dr. Williams' bio

This content was provided by Dr. Williams "It wasn't predetermined that Dr. Susan Williams would be a medical professional, but it wouldn't require a very deep study of her family tree to guess she might have at least been predisposed to follow that career path. She was raised in New Jersey, the daughter of a physician father and nurse mother. There were physician uncles and aunts too. "It wasn't necessarily assumed I would go into medicine, but it was assumed I would pursue some sort of professional vocation," Dr. Williams says. She considered a law career, but ultimately the opportunity to make people well proved more appealing. The orthopedics specialty offered even more. "Bone is one of the few organ systems that can regenerate itself and heal," Dr. Williams says. "If someone breaks a bone, you can realign it and as it heals look at X-rays to verify that you've done a good job. Watching the body heal is exciting." It's not the only exciting element of her practice. "We also get to use power tools," Dr. Williams says, laughing. It's also rewarding, she adds, to be able to live in a community that offers an outstanding quality of life and to practice with a group of high-quality professionals, she adds. "Everyone here does very good work and is very committed to excellent patient care. We're very hands on, are very attentive to our patients and have a friendly, helpful staff." Dr. Williams and her husband have three children and enjoy camping, hiking and community activities in their free time."

She’s very quick, so you have to be ready with your questions or she’s gone. She performed a trigger finger release surgery and 2 months later I still can’t close my fist. She didn’t tell me in advance of the procedure that I had to remove all jewelry which caused me to re-schedule the procedure...more
