My husband and I met with Dr. Newman 3 times after being diagnosed with blood clots in my lungs and then breast cancer. After breast cancer surgery she asked how I was doing. She always listens intently and answers my questions making sure I understand. I never felt rushed at anytime. I feel she is very qualified and cares about her patients.

I am a cancer patient in remission that recently moved to Knoxville and I saw Dr. Newman for the first time today. She did a thorough examination and answered any questions that I had. She did not dismiss any of my concerns and she addressed them all during my visit. I liked her and I feel confident in her care going forward.

I met Dr Newman in March of 2014, After my Breast had been removed by Dr Keith Gray from Breast Cancer that was an amazing Surgeon. Dr Newman ordered me 4 Rounds of Chemo and I can honestly say that Dr Newman took every measure to ensure that I did not get sick, and ordered my Chemo every time to ensure the best outlook for every round! She is very Business, But she has kept me alive along with the Lord, And I would not trade her for any other Oncologist. She is amazing! Thank U Lord !

At first meeting, she did provide a thorough explanation of our treatment plan and wrote everything down, which was helpful. After that, she exhibited a terrible bedside manner. Not caring or kind in her delivery. Obnoxiously loud, NO sense of humor, condescending, abrasive. By our third meeting she had already offended us to the point that we wanted a different doctor. Would NEVER recommend her.

She was terrible. She was unaware of the treatments even her partner was giving patients, ones which were exponentially more effective than the ones she chose for me. She was condescending, very short with her explanations, and pretty much told me that I had no hope for a healthy future. A year later with the care of fantastic doctors, I am leading a full and happy life and am all but in remission.

Dr. Susan was very compassionate about the person first finding out about her cancer. She was thorough about the treatment and how it would be corordinated with radiation.

Not forthcoming. Certainly not tactful and very little follow-up. Seemed too busy to even talk to me.
