    Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.

    Dr. Giles' Care Philosophy

My primary focus is couple relationship issues, including a lack of connection, frequent fights, love addiction, codependency, loneliness, dating the same kind of "wrong" people, feeling too unhappy to stay but too stuck to get out, etc. With powerful moving experiences with our partner, painful interactions can change into deep connection and safety. Whether you are in a committed relationship or dating or want to better prepare for the next one, I can help you create happier relationships.

    Dr. Giles says...

I help clients with depression, anxiety, panic, marital discord, codependence, addiction, a lack of self-esteem and security, and a lack of deeply fulfilling relationships. I work with clients who are ready to make transformational life changes. I use evidence-based approaches based on solid scientific evidence.

I don't believe anyone is "dysfunctional" or "broken". We all had to develop coping strategies to deal with something we thought was threatening to our safety. Most of the time, we have outgrown those defenses. We run into trouble when we don't adjust our coping patterns when we have outgrown them. All we need is just a little course correction and we are on our way to greatness!

    Dr. Giles says...

I used evidence-based approaches such as EMDR and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), as well as biofeedback, all of which are augmented with a systemic family therapy approach.
