Dr. Sharif earned his dual undergraduate degree with high honors in Biochemistry & Mathematics from University of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his medical degree at New York Medical College in Vallhalla, New York. He attended University of Illinois College of Medicine and Metropolitan Group Hospitals in Chicago, Illinois for his internship and residency in General Surgery. He then went on to pursue his Fellowship training as a Surgical Oncologist at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He is one of the only Fellowship trained Surgical Oncologist in Tarrant County. He is often invited by academic and patient advocate groups to deliver educational presentations. His personal quest for knowledge and expertise in surgical oncology has earned him respect within his peers and community at large. Dr. Sharif believes in balance of work and personal life. He is a sports enthusiast and is often seen shooting 'b-ball' on his off days. His other hobbies include traveling the globe and volunteering his resources for underserved communities.
