There are 2 types of doctors. Doctors that welcome their patient's input and those that want to be viewed as gods; threatened by educated patients that question their reasoning. Dr Mendelson is an example of the latter. After a 3 month wait to see this doctor, we were confronted with an arrogant, rushed physician whom bad-mouthed colleagues & laughed at my suggestion that my husband of 25 years is suffering from dementia in spite of handing him a list of symptoms to support my argument.

The office staff are truly awful. Cold, unfriendly, unhelpful. I actually received a call from a previous doctor to complain about their experience in sending over records and the absolute rudeness with which they were treated. Save yourself the abuse and go somewhere else. Life is too short to be treated in this way. And Dr. Mendelson should do himself a favor and hire other help.

Dr. Mendelson gave me back my life. My 3 previous neurologists did not help my seizures. Dr. Mendelson was the first to begin new combinations of medicines to make me seizure free for over 10 years. He always takes the time to talk to you and get a thorough understanding of your situation. Both him and his staff are always courteous. I would highly recommend him. Aetna is not accepted, so I pay out of pocket to see him. I won't change doctors unless he retires.

I could not be more pleased not only with his expertise, but the time he took to explain my treatment options and care. One of the rare doctors who actually seemed more concerned with getting my care right, than what time it was, or how much money he was making. I wish all doctors were like Dr. Mendelson. My treatment plan worked exactly as he said it would as well.

My first appointment with Dr. Mendelson was scheduled at the last minute, a day or two after I had been diagnosed in the hospital with MS. He saw me on a Friday evening at, I believe, 6pm and met with me for 2.5 hours, carefully reviewing my test results and discussing my diagnosis and treatment options with me. This same intelligent, caring approach has been evident in every appointment I have had since then. I highly recommend Dr. Mendelson.

Extraordinary- a complete physician: very smart, up to date, caring and respectful. His followup and time spent explaining things were unparalled in my experience with many doctors. Listening to your story, examining you and talking with you are never rushed. Whether the news is good or bad, you have an advocate and partner to see you through it.
