I had Dr. Wardell perform hip replacement surgery. From the first appointment , it became evident that Dr. Wardell was the right choice. Very clear was his concern for the patient in his approach, diagnosis and preparation for surgery. Surgery went very well with minimal pain. His follow up visits continued with making sure new hip is healing well. Never in a hurry and took time to clearly explain any questions. I am now pain free and back to gardening outside and enjoying spring. Yes there are fortunately a small group of Doctors that are what I would say the best of the best. Dr. Wardell certainly is in that group. I highly recommend you go see him. So glad I did!!!!!!

Dr. Wardell will give you an honest opinion of your situation. He will work with the patient for options before surgery is essential, with such treatments as Gel Shots, etc., but when the time comes for surgery, he strives to keep the patient as safe as possible. He has specific guidelines to follow for before and after your surgery that will give you the best odds of not getting an infection or a blood clot, but the patient must do their part.

Dr Steven Wardell has given me the best care over the years. I trust him to do what needs to be done, when it needs to be done. I had to put off my knee replacements due to my husband's health and eventual death. Dr Wardell worked with me and supported my choices, which were based on my husbands need of me.

Dr Wardell did hip revision on my right hip May 29, 2018. He replaced the ball of my femur. Removed 2 unneeded screws and filled the holes with bone graft, and replaced my plastic liner. Incision was 5.5". Old one was 14". My recovery was amazing. He's revising my lose knee implant 9/25/18. It failed at 3 years old. Eventually he will be doing my left hip and knee also. He is amazing. I trust him 100%

We have nothing but excellent things to say about Dr. Wardell. He's very knowledgable and explains things thoroughly. He has a great bedside manner. The surgical outcome has always been superior. I had meniscus surgery, and my wife has had total replacement of both knees and one hip with Dr. Wardell. He's the only orthopedic doctor we would ever consider seeing.
