Care Philosophy

I started out as a nurse working mostly in intensive care and emergency rooms and was asked to become a doctor. I thought long and hard about this , to be a doctor is a great privilege and responsibility. I try to see the person behind the complaint as well as try my hardest to diagnosis and treat the condition presented whether it require conservative or surgical treatment.

Dr. Sheskier is extremely knowledgeable. I went to him with a foot problem that I have had for several years. After examining me he had a preliminary diagnosis but ordered a test to confirm. After he obtained the results he called me at 6pm, after his office hours, and explained the diagnosis and the recommended treatment. He answered all of my questions and he performed the surgery within two weeks. I am happy to say that the surgery was successful and I feel better than I have in years.

After insisting I get an unessicary MRI in the foot that didn't have a problem, he told me what I already knew about my "bad" foot and recommended surgery. Fine. So I start asking questions on the surgery itself, recovery time etc... After maybe 4 questions he ROLLED HIS EYES, gave an irritated huff, and continued on. Then he continued to use a degrading and insulting tone IN FRONT OF HIS INTERN. I left livid, appalled, disrespected AND without any advice on treating my condition.

In the past year, Dr. Sheskier has performed 3 surgeries on me for ankle reconstruction, toe deformities and a bunion. I couldn't be more pleased. He is communicative, competent (extremely) and thorough. The office staff and medical staff are responsive, professional and patient. Occasionally there's a slight wait in being seen but, frankly, that's to be expected in a surgeon's office. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Sheskier.

I was impressed immediately upon meeting Dr. Sheskier. I am a critical care nurse with 39 years of experience and the level of compassion that he showed was outstanding. He helped me through a difficult time that started with pain and tears and ended up with comfort, increase in quality of life and smiles. Thank you so much.

I've been a patient of Dr. Sheskier since 2004 and love the guy, he is truly a kind, caring physcian. He has a great bedside manner, and greets you with a smile every visit and if your lucky a joke. He tries very hard to do whatever he can to eliminate your pain and suffering. He is honest and straightforward with his treatments plans and surgical procedures and what they will fix or won't fix. You can not ask for or find a better doctor anywhere. He is truly the best!

Terrible bedside manner Told me I didn't have plantar fasciitis when two other specialists diagnosed me with it including a well known surgeon from HSS VERY disappointing experience . He was rude , arrogant and IMPATIENT

Excellent surgeon with a caring bedside manner. . I recently had Posterior Tibial tendon transfer and calcaneal osteotomy and am thrilled with my result. . I am now 4 months post-op and the results are excellent. I am walking unaided, no cane, no limp and my surgical ankle feels better than my non operated foot. My friends are amazed at my progress and so am I. Dr. Sheskier and his staff have a very patient oriented approach...even to suggesting vitamins to help with healing and use of an Ice Ma

I recently had surgery with Dr. Sheskier to treat hallux rigidus of the big toe. Dr. Sheskier is a very skilled surgeon and I am very pleased with the care I received. At our first meeting Dr. Sheskier took the time to explain everything very clearly to me.I felt very comfortable with him and am very happy with the outcome. In addition, all of his office staff are very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Sheskier.
Did unnecessary ankle surgery. Used 6 month old MRI and when I went into surgery tendon had already healed on its own. I have been in pain ever since he performed the surgery. Never again.
