Dr. Ryder is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and National Eagle Scout Association. He has authored numerous scientific publications and textbook chapters in the field of ophthalmology. While at Bascom Palmer, he was involved as a clinical investigator in several collaborative trials and studies on retinal imaging modalities and conditions including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and inherited retinal degenerations.
