In Feb. 2019, I had a bunion removal. There was no pain and 3 1/2 months later I can take hikes and do all daily activities. I am 61 y.o. All the support people who saw me post surgery were professional and worked as a team. I was able to call off hours (and I did) with any concerns or questions. I never felt rushed and Dr. Neufeld is one of the most advanced surgeons that I researched. We live in Maryland and we went to Virginia specifically to have Dr. Neufeld perform the surgery. I am NOT disappointed! Compared to friends who also had bunion removal, I healed quicker because the surgery was less invasive yet comprehensive and well done. I highly recommend The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics and Dr. Neufeld.

I had an ankle fusion done back in 2006 by Dr Neufeld. I’ve had 13 pain free years and was able to return to my previous employer in heavy construction after just 3 months of rehab. And have been doing the same type of work for a combined total of over 25 years now successfully. I would recommend this physician to anyone.

Run, do not walk from this Dr. He messed up my “routine” bunion so badly, which leads me to believe he has someone else do the routine stuff in the o.r. I can’t believe a surgeon would mess up my foot so badly & the stitches were so crude, not like an experienced surgeon. I only wish I had gone to a podiatrist I/o this fraud, then he didn’t give a damn about my outcome. I had to have 2 subsequent surgeries to correct what this so called Dr did. Be warned!

My foot surgery outcome with Dr. Neufeld has been very poor. It is 29 Dec and my bones still have not healed from surgery performed in early June. I am still in great pain. Dr. Neufeld prescribed meds that have delayed my fracture to heal. It all comes from him being more interested in getting paid that in practicing medicine. Post op care was awful:1) the clinic's PT (Mark Schenkman) made me walk on a broken foot; 2) cast tech's do not know how to apply casts; nurses do not return phone calls
