I met Dr. Katz through a referral from a respected psychiatrist In the Hartford area. He has proven to be patient, empathetic and precise in gathering background info, expert in careful medication prescribing, monitoring, and dosing, and consistently provides clarity in diagnosing and giving reflective advice. He has helped me make sense out of complicated multi-dimensional problems, like chronic physical pain, depression, anxiety and loss. He is kind and supportive, and I always feel better after talking with him.

Dr. Katz is a very patient and extremely thorough physician. He asks many questions to gain understanding and has a very comfortable, relaxed demeanor. His office is well run, and not affiliated with any group practice. You will see him, not a PA or an associate. I highly recommend him.

I have dealt with this person on a least one occasion. I found him to be rather rude, arrogant, and controlling. A bit disrespectful, actually. And where is the compassion, understanding, and patience for the person he is dealing with? Actually at one point I was going to see him for the purposes of meds, but was steered away, by another professional, who described him as "brash", and that I would not like him. No I would not recommend this person, until he gets his ego in check.

Will not at all consider helping someone if it's out of his beliefs. For example getting verification of your condition for other alternative medicall approaches is Never going to happen. He called me today and said I don't believe in that option for Ptsd or severe anxiety. He's extremely rigid, has no empathy for people who have auto immune disorder. It's tough being his patient so I switched.
