Ikenberry is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford and joined Rockford Gastroenterology Associates, Ltd. in 2000. Dr. Ikenberry graduated from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and then completed a residency in internal medicine, a fellowship in gastroenterology, and an advanced training fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine, where he later served as Co-Director of the Endoscopic Ultrasound Unit. Dr. Ikenberry is the Director of the Endoscopy Lab at SwedishAmerican Hospital, where he also serves as First Vice President of the Medical Staff. Dr. Ikenberry is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, with broad interests in digestive diseases and endoscopy, and special interest in endoscopic ultrasound. Dr. Ikenberry has over 50 published scientific articles and abstracts to his credit."
