Dr. Hoer can communicate with patients and he diagnoses in a way that is understandable. He gave me a cortisone shot to the knee and I felt NOTHING. It was amazing. The previous shot I received felt like fire going into my joint.

Dr. Hoer is just kind of an all around incredible person. I have broken multiple bones but never have I received the level of attention that I did from Dr. Hoer and his team. Not only did I feel like the medical guidance and service I was given was top notch, it was undeniable that my broken ankle healing properly was as important to him as it was to me. Dr. Hoer is as good as it gets and he's earned my eternal gratitude and support. I recommend him as highly as he came recommended to me. A++++

Dr. Hoer is without a doubt, the best orthopedic doctor I have ever been treated by. He is very compassionate and treats the patient, not simply the condition. He is honest, and highly skilled always placing the patient first. When considering any medical practitioner, trust is undoubtedly one of the highest considerations. Dr Hoer is IMO, second to none !

Dr. Hoer is not only an excellent surgeon, he is a very caring, sensitive, considerate human being. He has replaced five knees in our family which went smoothly with no complications. He doesn't pressure you into surgery if you're not ready. I was scheduled for knee replacement and went for my pre-op appointment and told him "I'm just not mentally ready for this" and he cancelled the surgery date and told me he never takes a patient into surgery if they feel they're not ready". love him!

From the time I arrived to when I saw the doctor was 15 minutes. Dr. Hoer was absolutely fantastic! He explained everything to me in a language I could understand, gave me options, and did not rush through the appointment. One of the things that truly impressed me was he looked at me the entire time while an assistant typed into the computer. All the staff at the institute was cordial and carrying. Good job!

He took the time to review my x-rays in detail. Although my hip was not a contributing factor in my back pain, he took the time to explain what is wrong with my back and what I can do to reduce the symptoms. He gave me a booklet on back exercises and showed me which ones would be most beneficial. His office staff is just excellent. I was able to get an appointment on short notice, which is a first for a new patient.

In Dec. of '98 I slipped on ice and my L knee literally came apart. I was sent to the only St. Rose Hopsital ER that existed at that time. Fortunately I was assigned Dr. Hoer. He reconstructed my knee...Dr. Hoer said at the time: you had a terrible accident with your knee; I didn't have much hope at first.... Well, almost 18 years later I am still on that same knee. This guy is some kind of genius. I do ride my bike, walk swiftly and remain active (no running though...not at age 78!)

Dr Hoer is the most dedicated, kind, knowledgable orthopedic surgeon I've ever met. Most of them are prima donnas who could care less about their patients, but Dr. hoer is in a league of his own, setting a new standard for caring surgeons.

Dr. Hoer is a very kind and caring orthopaedic surgeon who is conservative in his treatment, meaning he doesn't just jump right into surgery, but tries other methods first. He performed surgery replacing my hip and did an excellent job.
