Although Dr Brooks office is very busy and wait times can be long, it is alright because you are waiting for a caring doctor with lots of experience.

Dr. Brooks is a very dedicated, kind and caring doctor. It is rare to find a doctor who truly listens and talks with his patients. He doesn't quickly run in and out of the room. When I had no Health insurance after my husband canceled it Dr. Brooks me a break so I was able to get my urethral dilation done. This is a procedure I need at least every 6 months. Without it done I would really suffer. I've had to have this procedure since a child and Dr. Brooks has been the BEST Urologist ever!

If you have Wellcare SNP plan, don't waste your time calling this office. They will not see poor clients. Couldn't even get an appointment when they found out what insurance I had.
Orlando, FL |
He has no respect for anyone else's time. Over 2 hr waits in office every visit. Delayed surgery in hospital because, once again he was late...kept us waiting for 4 hours. Took two surgeries to finally help one kidney stone. Staff rude and incompetent.

would not recommend, very long waits in office, once in a room still have to wait long time, staff rude. my first visit i was in room for 2 hours waiting
Lake Mary, FL |
I found him to be completely dismissive towards my health issue and unprofessional because of how he smeared Florida Hospital in our 1st meeting. When I voiced that opinion to his staff, at our next meeting he barely went over my medical issue, other than to say he was right. When I stood my ground, because he once again proved to be dismissive and unprofessional he attacked my character and called me an angry person and asked what was wrong with me, since I said I would file a complaint.

I have used Dr Brooks for almost 20 years, including 5 kidney stones surgeries. He's fantastic. Very knowledgeable and professional. Yes, you have to wait sometimes when you have an appointment - he handles emergency surgeries and sometimes that causes a delay with office visits. But when you have an emergency, they will fit you in no matter what. I trust him implicitly and I haven't found many doctors I can really say that about. Highly recommended!

Your interaction with any doctor is about 20% doctor , 80% staff. Doctor good, staff HORRIBLE. If you went to the urologyorlando.com, don't believe their mission statement that "we treat patients..." or "We are here to serve you, you will sense even through the phone a pleasant smile from our capable receptionists to accommodate your 1st or subsequent visit & make it a pleasant & professional experience." And good luck if you need your care and/or medical records sent to another doctor.

Waited over an hour. Dr Brooks was in a hurry to leave in the middle of my telling him there was an issue over my last script. He didn't care, didn't listen. I wanted to leave & had another question. They brought us back to the office. He came in and was incredibly rude & unprofessional. Told my husband & I we didn't listen. He never explained. He started accusing me of telling his staff he didn't spend enough time. I just had a question. Will never go back!!
