Dr. Stephen K. Waterbrook, MD

Dr. Stephen K. Waterbrook, MD

General Surgery | Male | 38 years old

My training at Loma Linda University, residency in general surgery, and practice in Dayton Ohio for five years have been a great base for practicing in Grass Valley. I became a doctor to treat the whole person, I believe that physical problems are often just one of the stressful things going on in life. I also believe there is a need to treat the underserved in our community, nation and world, and so medical mission trips are also an interest of mine whether here or abroad. In addition, I believe that spirituality should be addressed with each patient. My personal model is Jesus Christ who was the Great Physician. He came to heal people physically, mentally, and spiritually which gave them a correct understanding of God's love for them.Read more

The first night home from the hospital I had a reaction to the drug I was prescribed, severe upper stomach pain, confusion, an extremely painful cough and the start of a sore throat. In trying to reach Dr. Waterbrook, I was lied to about him calling me back, was treated unprofessionally by his assistant Sarah Doe, who called me back to tell me the Dr. said the ansteiolgist had caused my problems, then gave me an appointment 9 days out from the surgery at the wrong address.
