What a terrific doctor
The first time I went in to see dr Pehler I knew he could help me. I suffered for more than 20 years with lower back pain. He was kind, understanding & straight forward about treatment. Surgery was the only option I had left after years of injections & physical therapy. He did the surgery & I went home 3 days later to convalesce. Three months later I’m pain free!! I can walk upright again with no limps or wobbling! I trusted in him from the start & he exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much Dr Pehler! You are truly a talented surgeon!

Nobody's really thrilled about spine surgery, but my experience with Dr. Pehler and his team far exceeded expectations. I received a complete and detailed explanation of my condition and exactly what the surgery would provide. Pre-op team was great and operation went well and as expected. I'm now able to stand and walk without pain or numbness and have regained most of my sense of balance. Follow up physical therapy is bringing back my strength and coordination. So thanks Pehler team! Hope you continue to help others with similar conditions to mine!

Dr.Pehler was referred to me for a very painful and emergency lower back injury. He took my case immediately and arranged a same day evaluation. At this point he is arranging urgent back surgery. I am very pleased to have Dr. Pehler in charge of this and moving my health care quickly forward on this back injury. I highly recommend this doctor

Dr pehlers staff turned in a request for me to have an operation and said that if it got denied thay where good at the appeals process and then after the request was denied thay just left me hanging! And when I call to get information about it I'm directed to his assistants all I get is a answering machine! And not once has she called me back . .....

I had a 3 level Spinal Fusion performed by this surgeon with no awareness that this was the treatment approach he planned to use on my body. When we met originally, he spoke about performing an "Interspinous process decompression L2-L4." That is exactly what I have written in my notes and yet Dr. Pehler insisted he would "never have utilized that approach." At the follow-up appointment he made me feel as if he was trying to convince me that I was wrong because we had discussed the fusion previously. I also informed him that his procedure did nothing to alleviate my sciatic pain and now I was also dealing with back pain. The most outrageous part of our conversation included his refusal to acknowledge that my "significant improvement" shortly after the surgery was due to the fact that he had me leave the hospital taking Oxycodone every 4 hours, Robaxin every 4 hours and Flexeril every 6 hours over a 10 day period. He astoundingly insisted that none of these drugs treat neurological pain!

I’ve had 2 surgeries ( lumbar fusion and cervical fusion), both performed by Dr Pehler. Both in 2020. I was nervous but Dr Pehler honestly is the kindest and most reassuring Dr I’ve ever had. He explained everything and answered every question. He is so positive!!! All of his staff both in office and Hospital are amazing. I have absolutely nothing but positive to say about the while experience. And I’m healing wonderfully!!!!
