Background Check

1 Malpractice Claim
  • Settlement : 1/13/2015
    Amount or Range: $75,000.00
Nature of Complaint: A week after undergoing cervical laminectomy by the insured, this 74 year old male patient was re-admitted through the ER for severe right arm pain. Alleged failure to perform MRI upon admission or monitor neurological function caused delayed diagnosis of epidural hematoma resulting in delayed surgical intervention and quadriplegia and paralysis. Patient ultimately died six and a half months later.
