Stephen J. Lowe, MD, FACS, is a non-operative orthopaedist specializing in routine pediatric, adolescent, and adult musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. Dr. Lowe received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and his medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He completed an internship at Abington Memorial Hospital and his orthopaedic residency at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital. He also trained at Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children in Philadelphia and was an orthopaedic trauma surgeon at Aria Health's Torresdale campus for 16 years. Dr. Lowe's background includes service in the US Army Medical Corps, where he served as a major and orthopaedic surgeon at the Irwin Army Hospital in Fort Riley, KS. Dr. Lowe is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons. Today, Dr. Lowe treats non-surgical fractures, as well as issues related to the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, foot, and ankle. In addition, he administers visco supplementation - a treatment for knee arthritis.
