Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Lichtenstein "I have performed more than 30,000 cataract operations.  I treat you as an individual!  I listen carefully to your visual and lifestyle issues.  I then explain whether or not cataract surgery is appropriate for you at this time within the context of your life.  If I believe you are a good candidate and you feel comfortable proceeding, we spend as much time as necessary developing a plan that is best for you with regard to the most advanced cataract and intraocular lens implant technology.  It is very important to me that you understand all the issues and I will do everything I can to meet your expectations."

The visits were brief but all my questions and concerns were answered and addressed. I saw improvement in my sight before I left the...more

Does not like to spend time to alleviate fears. Surgery is impersonal and factory like. Money maker. Recommends upgraded procedures like laser but guess he uses it whether you pay the extra or not. Staff does most of the screening and not sure of their qualifications.
