Patient care
Dr Honigs staff was the worse staff I have ever dealt with. As if dealing with fertility issues isn’t hard enough you get a non responsive staff, I have been without medication for 3 weeks because the incompetent staff won’t contact my insurance. They think it’s appropriate to yell at patients and as of yet the doctor has yet to call me back. I would never send anyone to his practice, he might be a good doctor who knows, his staff makes it a nightmare.

So far So good
It did take a while to get an appointment but most everything does now days. Office staff was fine and he came in a few min after I got into the room. He listened, did an exam and went out to get some information. He came back with a plan and what we were going to do next. Im never looking for hand holding, so he was just to the point and got things done.

My husband and I have been trying for 1.5 years for children and UCONN Fertility referred us to Dr Honig. He’s nice and knowledgeable, however, his follow through was poor. He said we needed to put my husband on Clomid at the appt and took a whole week to order it. We also found out that the 3rd semen analysis that my husband did had WBCs in it from UCONN Fertility MD not Honig that had the results by the appt that he recommended Clomid. Attention to detail and follow through was poor!

Nice guy but very hard to get an appointment with and when I am able to get in to see him, he rushes through the appointment. Last time I saw him he literally sat down, opened his laptop, said "looks like there's a blockage, I'll prescribe something and I'll see you again in three months", closed his laptop and got up to leave. And when I asked a simple question I felt like I was imposing.

I made the mistake of choosing Dr. Honig as my urologist. I had an MRI over a week ago, after spending a week in the hospital, I have yet to be contacted by Dr. Honig regarding the results. I wish I read these reviews sooner I would have never chosen this Doctor. First, going to UConn for any procedure is an absolute nightmare, parking is ridiculous, there was no one at the desk when I arrived in the main building to tell me where to go for my MRI. Finally, when I found the radiology dept, a

Dr. Honig was very attentive to my husband and my concerns regarding his condition. Infertility is an extremely stressful condition and the entire staff did everything possible to make us feel comfortable and assist us. Throughout the office visits to surgery, each appointment was professional and straightforward. My husbands condition does not enable us to have biological children. Our final office visit ended with Dr. Honig offering to have us call him at any time with questions or concerns.

Waited for over an hour and then when seen it was clear my 10 minutes I spent with his PA were a waste of time. No apology for being late and did not listen to my needs only wanted to sell an implant or a device. Honestly one of the worst docs I've ever seen. Very upsetting and would not recommend this dr. First review I've ever written that's how poor it was.

The doctor was nice enough during the actual visit. Failed to return my 3 phone calls about test results and then went on vacation for 2 weeks, essentially holding them ransom for that time period. It has been over a month and a half, still no word.

It's hard to don't know what his surgical skills are, but if you need surgery, find someone else. It took months to schedule an appointment, our meeting was rushed, and I was told I needed surgery and that someone would call me asap. One month and several phone calls later, it's still impossible to schedule that surgery. Time to find another doctor.

Took 7 months of back and forth phone calls to figure out how to get the prescription that I needed. When we finally figured that out, it took 2 weeks of me calling to get the prescription called in to the pharmacy. My wife and I are trying to have a baby, and have wasted 7 months of our time. I understand that I am not the only patient, and that my issue may not be important to Dr. Honig, but it is very important to my wife and I. The lack of compassion and caring is upsetting to say the least.
