Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Rothman "Stanley Rothman is a pediatric neurologist on the faculty of Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) with admitting privileges at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and  Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. His private practice is limited to specialty care as a clinical pediatric neurology consultant and requires written referral from the primary physician or referral source.  Dr. Rothman's practice is centered around brain, spinal cord, nerve and muscle problems in infants, children and adolescents with a particular interest and experience in neonatal neurology, the epilepsies, neurocutaneous disorders and neuromuscular diseases.  He refers behavioral disorders to physician-colleagues in child psychiatry.  He is committed to the principle of access to care based primarily on the need for care, and not financial means. He is rostered with over thirty insurance plans and also is a voluntary attending at a medicaid-funded pediatric neurology clinic in Manhattan."

My experience with Dr Rotham was inexcusable and heartless. For one i get his office and no receptionist. My granddaughters records are left out for the public to see. Then Dr. Rotham calls me in his office and throws me nd 15 month out his office because my granddaughter was constipated. The...more

Dr. Rothman does not listen. RE: progress our small child has made since our last visit, Dr. Rothman either forgot what we had just told him or never heard us at all. His assessment of our child's delays was based on absence of skills that we had just told him were consistent and present in our...more

Dr. Rothman spends alot of time reviewing the patient's medical history during appointments. He is brief in his examinations. He is also repetitive and seems to be focused on recommending unnecessary medical procedures to bill state insurance companies.
