Went for my 5 year check up and everything is great. I would not be walking if it wasn't for Dr. Rachala doing revision surgery on my hip. I am so thankful that he was recommended and I recommend him to everyone. No one could have done the surgery he did on me. Great surgeon, great person. Do not trust anyone else.

Dr Rachala is an excellent surgeon. I needed two TKR’s. I was extremely bow legged and he straightened me out. I am two inches taller now. Nothing but good things from this Doctor

Very pleased, thank you Dr Rachala! I underwent total knee replacement by another surgeon; initially good result but began having pain & trouble walking. Dr Rachala recommended for another opinion as first surgeon said my lower back was the cause. Eventually xrays suggested something else was going on. A huge infection in the knee was the cause. I underwent knee revision surgery with long term IV antibiotics & rehab. I can walk again without a cane or walker. If I need to have surgery in the future, Dr Rachala will be the one to do it.

Dr. Was very nice, involved, and spent time with me explaining everything before I consented to proceeding. I’m very happy with the job he did. There were no complications, infections, no problems at all. I had knee replacements of both knees. My pain is gone.

I am waiting for my Hip Revision Surgery, but so far Dr. Rachala has been great. I have a complicated surgery coming up. His name was recommended by a UBMD orthopedic upper extremity surgeon to do my surgery. I also found out from a nurse of another UBMD hip surgeon (listed in Buffalo Spree top doctors) who did a hip replacement for my wife, that he sends complicated cases to Dr Rachala. That's good enough for me. His bedside manner is fantastic.

Said I had to lose 100 pounds before he'd consider the hip replacement. His office isn't staffed in the morning, so working night shift I have to wake up in the middle of my sleep period in order to make an appointment, which can only be on Tuesday, so I have to take a day off work. If you're not going to answer the phones till 10:30, don't tell me your office opens at 8:30. And screw you for saying my pain wasn't valid unless I proved it by losing 100 pounds you conceited jerk.

I saw dr Rachala for the first time today for osteoarthritis of my knees. He is very professional and his reputation is impeccable. He sat down and reviewed my lab and xrays without rushing. He explained my options thoroughly and explained complications of surgery. He answered all my questions in a kind and understanding way. He is not arrogant or dismissive. He uses robotic surgery and a pain catheter to help with pain after surgery. I trust him implicitly.

Dr. Rachala did a partial knee replacement and set my knee at an angle that caused my leg to bow out. Follow up x-rays showed my knee set at a wrong angle causing me to walk incorrectly. My ankle has now "caved in" and I am in pain whenever I stand or put weight on my leg. I would never recommend anyone has surgery performed by this man.

Dr. Rachala saved my leg. After walking on a fracture tibia for 5 weeks and getting told I had bone cancer he reconstructed my leg and reassured me it was not cancer but the bone had begun to die. He promised he would make me as I was before this injury. He kept his promise! Highly, highly recommend him! His bedside manners are amazing. He takes time and listens as if you are his only patient. TY Dr Rachala for giving me my life back!

Dr. Rachala diagnosed me in 15mins with a failed hip replacement. He didn't hesitate! I had suffered for 3.5 years until 1 day I could barely walk without a cane and PAIN. He is thorough and compassionate. His office staff patient and very professional. I was a crying mess from the pain and then complications. But they got me through it. I have no limp and no pain! My 1st replacement was 9/27/2012 and my repair 1/8/2016... go figure. Thank you Dr. Rachala!

I was hurt permanently during the (extra!) x-rays he asked for. Diagnosed a second time, although my diagnose was already there! Pushed on the surgery as the only option, while my life quality is mainly good - I am only 33- , and while the statistics of comfort after the surgery –one which is as serious as a heart surgery- that he proposed, is very low! He was not happy to hear about alternative routes, and was very negative about my future, in subjective ways = Not professional at all.
