Dr. Moturi is very thorough and with much wisdom. He really shows how compassionate he is of his profession as I have been a patient for the past several years. He has given me self motivation in which has helped me understand any psychological struggles I have gone through. I would highly recommend to others. Thank you.

I began seeing Dr. Moturi in the fall of 2019. I had been under the care of my primary care physician for anxiety and insomnia, but my conditions were not improving. Dr. Moturi changed my medications and I saw immediate improvement. I went from averaging 2-3 hours of sleep a night to getting 6-7 hours of sleep. I’m on a very low dose of anxiety medication and my natural sleep patterns have greatly improved. I trust Dr. Moturi and I feel confident in his expertise.

After one visit, Dr. Moturi “diagnosed“ my teen with Narcolepsy (without giving her a sleep study). He put her on an ADD medication (which caused her to have an all night panic attack) and told us to come back in a month. At her next appointment, we told him that her symptoms had not improved. When he found out the medication he prescribed wasn’t working he was completely flabbergasted. He then gave me a list of new medications and had me sit in the waiting room to choose the one I liked best while he talked with my teen for 10 minutes. When I told him I didn’t think my teen had narcolepsy he brushed my concerns aside (after all what do I know? I’m not a doctor, just a mother..). I had such a bad feeling after our second appointment that I scheduled my teen to visit a Vanderbilt specialist who DID give her a sleep study and found out - Surprise! It’s not narcolepsy, but PLMD. This man is far more concerned with being “right” than helping his patients. Horrible experience.

I assumed this doctor would take into account my recent health history and consider medications accordingly. I paid 250 dollars for him to put me on a medication that was seizure inducing and did not take me off another medication I was previously on that was causing major side effects to my health, he even mentioned the several side effects to my physical and mental health and let me know my insurance probably might not let me see him so it wasn't his problem. He decided he didn't want me as a

He was always forgetting what meds I was on and the dosage. Staff needs replacing. And next time you can not figure out what medicine is not able to combat insomnia or decide my diagnosis perhaps ask ME. I am in your field. And p.s..... try to work on timely filling scripts for your patients , please.

I have seen Dr. Moturi for the past 2-3 years. After searching for a good psychiatrist for most of my life, I finally found Dr. Moturi and do not have enough good things to say. To that point, I've since moved from Nashville to Indianapolis and still make trips down just to see him because I cannot find another dr who is as caring, intelligent, and great with meds as he is. The cost per session is also very fair compared to some doctors I've seen. Would highly recommend.

Horrible experience. The office response time for questions or prescriptions is measured in days, not hours. He was contradictory to himself from visit to visit, despite our detailed note taking. He made little effort to engage our child on a helpful and friendly level, but was content to talk down to him. We couldn't fire this guy fast enough.

I came tDr. Moturi in September 2016, fresh out of detox for a seven and a half year opiate and heroin addiction. I was scared and confused; not feeling very confident about my lifelong journey thru recovery. Dr. Moturi made me feel very comfortable while talking about my struggles and all the people I had hurt during my addiction. He even told me that he isn't there to judge me; that the world and society would do that in itself. This made me feel not so shameful. I have been clean since!

Dr. Moturi is WONDERFUL! He is the best we have been to in a LONG line of psychiatrists. He is thoughtful, thorough & genuinely caring, in addition to being highly intelligent & knowledgable. Both my daughter (17) @ I had all but given up on finding any therapeutic value in a psychiatry visit. Dr. Moturi reminded us that great doctors still exist. He take his time with my daughter to fully understand issues and problem solve accordingly. He also discusses all with me and listens to my input.

I would never recommend Dr. Moturi. He is awful about calling in prescriptions. Also, my intake appointment lasted 25 minutes and I didn't fill out any paperwork. He knows nothing about me. I was so not impressed.
