Frankly terrible bedside manner - rushed, rude, and dismissive. I attempted to discuss my concerns with the practice manager but never heard back. I guess when you're the big bucks ortho, you can get away with what you like in terms of bedside manner. Don't bother if you're overweight unless you enjoy being castigated, even if the knee condition predates the weight.

He diagnosed my hip pain as bursitis immediately. He referred me for therapy which is helping quite nicely. I was so relieved that it wasn’t anything more major.

I saw Dr. Papas once for an initial consult as referred by my PCP, and I will not be seeing him again. He was quite hasty and rude -- my presence seemed to frustrate him, and he also seemed quite frustrated that I am pregnant and that I hadn't consulted my OBGYN before seeing him, despite my PCP knowing about my pregnancy and referring me to him for that very reason. I've read reviews that Dr. Papas is a skilled professional, but his bedside manner was very upsetting and I cannot recommend.

I have had two total knee replacements by Dr. Papas and have been told by my PT after, that I was the best knee he had ever rehabbed. There was no question who was going to do my other knee when the time came. I no longer feel the pain in my knees and have been able to do things I haven't done in year. Quality of life changed forever.

Every aspect of the process from my first appointment for evaluation through post surgery appointments were outstanding. Most importantly the surgery was successful and I left the hospital feeling better than the day I arrived. Dr. Papas was on time for all appointments and very thorough in explaining the problem with my hip as well as what I might expect post surgery.

I was told that Dr. Papas was very good but did not have a bedside manner. He was very kind to me and thoroughly explained the issue that I had and the need for treatment. He brought in the tablet with the MRI results and fully explained the surgery. He visited me prior to the surgery and explained everything and follow-up afterwards was great. I would recommend him (and I have) anytime.
