Dr. Rogers maintains a professional website at spencerrogersmd.webs. com Dr. Spencer Rogers is an ophthalmologic surgeon certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has broad experience in comprehensive eye care including premium-lens and laser-assisted cataract surgery; standard cataract surgery; glaucoma and retina laser treatment; cosmetic and therapeutic Botox injections; oculoplastic procedures; and intravitreal injections for the treatment of wet macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusions. Dr. Rogers completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut and subsequently moved to California into private practice. Prior to residency, after earning an MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin and after internship training at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, he served as a Diving Medical Officer in the US Navy. While on active duty he traveled to Europe to train in submarine escape, created a medical division that was responsible for support of the Navy's first pressurized submarine escape training in over 30 years, joined a humanitarian medical expedition in Mexico, and served as Mission Medical Officer for NASA's fourteenth Extreme Environments Mission Operations at the Aquarius Laboratory off the coast of Key Largo. He was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for his service. Dr. Rogers is conversational in Spanish and Italian. He's an accomplished runner, an aspiring pizzaiolo, a respectable mountain biker and photographer, an above average musician, and a very mediocre surfer. Dr. Rogers hails from Park City, UT, and currently lives in California with his wife, Juliet, and his three children, Evelyn, Westley, and Forrest.
