Only use if your want to waste of time and money. Put my son non-wt bearing & on crutches & a brace for 6 weeks for a knee growth plate injury. Heard word of mouth reports after our appt. were correct that everyone leaves with a growth plate injury and brace from the practice. Got a second opinion...more

Orthopedic injuries for children can often involve a growth plate as they are not skeletally mature. A brace and/or protected weight-bearing can protect the injury; it also serves as a visual and physical reminder to reduce activity that may exacerbate the injury. Afterwards, physical therapy is recommended to return the child to pre-injury condition. Dr. Kas is always open to discussing patient care and concerns with parents. Most importantly, we are happy that your child is feeling better!
