I had my first visit with this doctor on November 4, 2020. I told him I used the Omnipod insulin pump. He then asked me if I had the Dexcom CGM and I said I didn’t because I had it one time before and didn’t like it. He then proceeds to go get one and then DEMANDS I download the apps on my phone and put the thing on!! Then before I left, he gave me a pamphlet about something called Baqsimi. I asked him what it was and his response was “just read it”. A little bit after I got home, I get a text from my pharmacy that I had a $25 prescription ready. I had no idea whatvit was since I hadn’t called in any refills. I logged in to the Kroger pharmacy website and saw it was the Baqsimi! This doctor is ridiculous and my first visit will be my last. I’ll find someone else.

I have been seeing Dr. Bao for 4 years now. I am not any better off than I was when I starting seeing him. He is more concerned about selling me his books than listening to my concerns. He would rather stick me on diet pills than help to figure out what is exactly going on with me. He will not listen to me and wants to rush me in and out. My levels are never normal yet he never tries to figure out why. I am currently trying to find a new doctor.

I want a better doctor and a much better nurse. Betty is the worse nurse I’ve ever had to deal with. My husband has had it.

I have met and dealt with many doctors over the years, but have never encountered one quite as cold and dismissive as Dr. Bao. He rushed, didn't listen, and implied my very sick mother ''should just go home and relax'' ... (although her lab work was terribly off). He didn't bother to listen to her heart or examine her enlarged thyroid gland. A real know it all with a terrible bedside manner.

Will not return to this Doctor. I was assigned to him when my long time Physician (Nair) left St. Vincent's. Boa looked and acted unprofessional. I had one prescription needed from the previous Dr. at the clinic filled (Vitamin D) but he did not follow through. Waste of time in seeing him.

I have only seen Dr Bao once but I found him to be remarkably patient, kind and concerned about my symptoms. He took the time during my appointment to go request records and test results from the hospital and other doctor visits I had. I was very impressed.

Dr. Bao is attentive to my condition and offers effective treatment for my diabetes. I have had more success since seeing Dr. bao than I have had in the last 15 years + that I've had the condition.

Through interesting circumstances, I was directed to see Dr. Bao for a complete workup. Previous to seeing Dr. Bao, I was two weeks away from a very nasty surgery including, a portion of the pancreas being removed and removal of the spleen. Dr. Bao saw me, did a complete workup and discovered I had new onset type 2 diabetes and put him on a diet. I lost weight and symptoms cleared. NO SURGERY!! We LOVE Dr. Bao!!!

I didn't care for this doctor. He has a very neutral (almost cold) bedside manner. Like most, he rushes and is in and out in 5. He doesn't really listen to you and tries to push you more towards homeopathic and natural healing instead of trying to address things quickly. He also wants to have you make an appointment for every little thing ($$$) instead of dealing with simple things that can be handled in a less costly manner for his patients.
