As the needs of the patient increase, it seems Dr. Waldfogel's involvement decreases. He is reluctant to offer additional support during more critical times of patient need and is generally, low on empathy. He did not respond to my phone call (with 72 hours) to a request for support during a changeover in medication and an exacerbation of psychotic symptoms. This IS the time to offer support to a patient in need! I also feel his patient education could be better (explaining side-effects, informed consent). Perhaps his professional demeanor and ethics will suffice if you or your loved one need minimal physician intervention and your symptoms are not complex. Otherwise, stay away.

Don't believe all those bad reviews here. Dr. Waldfogel got me to a good place after suffering with severe anxiety. He got me on the proper medications, was empathetic to my overwhelming life and was patient with me as I poured my heart out to him. I was stunned to read the scathing reviews that I did. I am sorry those who wrote them experienced such a poor relationship with the doctor. He is anything but what the remarks make him out to be. He spent the necessary time with me, and I never felt he was disinterested in what I had to say.

No follow-up after seeking support by phone, quick to limit office time. Does not exude much of an attitude of concern for patients. Do not recommend.

Although the first visit, I felt he was curt , he is the only Dr. who diagnosed me correctly and has gotten me on the correct meds. Available if needed.

Dreadful. He really should not be allowed to practice. Unresponsive, to say the least. If you have MDD or anything serious, search elsewhere.

Don't waste your money. This so called "doctor" could care less about your health. He does nothing but ask irrelevant questions and over-medicates his patients.

These reviews say it all-horrible is an understatement. He prescribed an extreme amount of antivan to my mother who is over 90 with alzheimers. Every doctor we spoke to was horrified that he gave her this amount. He should not be allowed to practice

Shimon, regarding you, there is an old Yiddish saying that is most apropos in your case and it goes something like this; "He looks with his eyes, listens with his ears, and understands like a Wall" (Er kukt mit di oygn, hert mit di oyern, un farshteyt vi di vant)

Dr. Waldfogel was awful. Very difficult to open up to and be honest with- was very quick with appointments, made me feel like he could have cared less, and did not follow up. I stopped seeing him after about 6 months. When I was later hospitalized he was assigned as my psychiatrist at Abington and literally asked me, “Why can’t you get it together?” Those 4 days under his care and in Abington were some of the worst of my life. Save your time and money and look elsewhere for a good psychiatrist.

Not happy with him. He did not encourage follow up appointments for my mother who was supposed to be under his care. It didn't seem like he was at all interested in his patients. Save yourself time and money and go to someone else.
