This content was provided by Dr. Dunlay "Areas of clinical expertise include: Management of patients with advanced heart failure Evaluation and treatment of cardiac transplant candidates and recipients Care of patients requiring mechanical circulatory support (left ventricular assist device; LVAD, total artificial heart) Care of patients with heart failure and complex comorbidities (multimorbidity) or frailty Palliative care in patients with advanced heart failure Dr. Dunlay also has a joint research appointment in Health Care Policy and Research at Mayo Clinic. Her research focuses on identifying ways to optimize care for patients with advanced heart failure. Her research is funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute. She is an active member of the American Heart Association where she serves on a number of committees. She currently chairs the Outcomes Population Grant Review Committee and is an associate editor at Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes.
