Dr Shane Nho and his team are very seasoned and skilled along with amazing bedside manner. He is able to look outside the box and truly figure out what is wrong and the best way to go forward to create a treatment plan that provides the best outcome. I highly recommend Dr Nho and hands down wouldn’t suggest any other surgeon to go with. I’m 7 weeks PO of FAI impingement of the hip and feeling absolutely amazing and getting stronger every day. I am so happy that I was recommended this surgeon through my physical Therapist.

While Dr. Nho was not necessarily able to help me, he presented exceptionally friendly, personable and knowledgeable. He allowed me to tell my story, asked questions, and definitely tried to work with me on deciding what the issue is. He engaged in an open conversation with me as a patient. He explained everything thoroughly, answered all questions, provided advice and allowed me to make the final decision.

Dr Nho is the BEST of the best! He did both my hip labral repair and hamstring rupture/avulsion repair surgeries, and he is the reason I am walking today! If you need a sports med doc-especially for shoulder, knee, or hip- or need to see the leading hip preservation specialist in the field, see Dr Nho. You will not be disappointed. He is truly the best!!!!

After 2 years of worsening hip pain while being treated at Northwestern, in pain and desperation, and at advice of my physical therapist who thought I was being misdiagnosed, I went to Rush to see Dr Nho. I wish I had seen him first. He quickly identified my issues, performed 2 surgeries and gave me my life back. He saw me every appt (unlike Northwestern where I only sometimes saw the surgeon vs her PA), laid hands on me and examined me every appt, and answered all my questions in detail, and his surgeries went amazingly well. He also has a great bedside manner, you can tell he cares and listens to you. I will be forever grateful for the care and treatment I got from him and his team. They are all great and changed my life. I am a generally unemotional grown man with tears in my eyes writing this, I’m so happy and thankful for him and what he did for me

I will only see Dr. Nho for my hips! He is a true professional that takes his specialty seriously. I'm 52 years old, and I'm 6 months out from having gluteus minimus/medius repair surgery. I'm amazed at how well I feel. I have no doubts having Dr. Nho perform the surgery. I will recommend him to everyone that I know.

I am a 57 year old Male runner and had surgery on a torn labrum in my left hip in 2017 with another Orthopedic Dr. and it did not go well. After 2 years of attempting rehabilitation I could barely walk down the block. I went to see Dr. Nho in May of 2019 and after consulting with Dr. Nho he determined that I needed a hip revision surgery and also had a torn meniscus in my left knee. I was grateful that Dr.Nho agreed to do both surgeries at the same time in June of 2019. At that point I was just hoping to walk without pain. I was advised by Dr. Nho and his staff that this would be a long rehabilitation and could take up to 2 years to fully recover if I was going to run again. I am happy to report that after year 1, July 4th 2020, I was a able to run 3.5 miles with no pain. I was still not able to run every day and would need a couple days off in-between. Fast forward to today, 2 years later, I’m thrilled to report I’m able to run and walk as much I want without any pain.

I'm a 73 yr, old female who for many yrs. was experiencing severe right hip/leg pain. After consulting with various other orthopedists, I was blessed to have come across Dr. Nho. He knew what the problem was and fixed it. While others were telling me I was too old & forget about any surgery, and then others saying I need a hip replacement, I didn't listen (thank God) and trusted him and his highly efficient staff w/my care. I am happy to report almost 2 yrs. out I am doing wonderful. He fixed my bursitis, torn glute medius and minimus tendons and I think cleaned out some arthriitis at my hip joint. Yes, the recovery was difficult but when you have a team like Dr. Nho and staff who were always there to listen and guide me, you get thru it and I have never looked back. He is the best in town . Thanks Dr. Nho, Jeannie, Sara, and Leah and the Rush Hospital medical staff! You are the best!

I have been seeing Dr.Nho for the last year or so since I was run over by a vehicle. He worked on my knee and shoulder and I’m finally improving , I know it’s a long recovery process He’s easily accessible as is his staff. And very clear in his explanation of any procedures I’ve had to get. He did my hip several years ago and I wouldn’t trust anyone else !

When I realized I would need hip labrum surgery, I asked a long-term friend and orthopedic surgeon what I should do, who I should see, etc. He said that I was lucky that I lived near Chicago because that is where one of the best hip specialists in the nation had his practice - Shane Nho. I can see why my friend recommended Dr. Nho. Not only has my hip healed perfectly, but I am constantly amazed at the efficiency and organization of everyone from the front desk staff to the x-ray technicians. Dr. Nho got me back on my feet quickly and has the support staff to help every step of the way. I am so grateful!
