Dr. Shane Clark, who grew up in the Dalton area, said "he is thrilled to be returning home and honored to be able to provide care to the family, friends and residents of the communities in which he was raised." Specializing in general as well as surgical dermatology, Dr. Shane Clark is trained in all aspects of skin, hair and nails. Dr. Clark is a past Chief Resident of the OSU Dermatology program. Prior to his residency, Dr. Shane Clark earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine graduating magna cum laude. He completed his undergraduate degree at Miami University, majoring in zoology and graduating summa cum laude. He has also volunteered internationally and provided medical care to impoverished communities in Africa. "Easing the medical burden in third world countries is a personal passion as well as a cornerstone of medicine. This principle was impressed upon me not on the hospital wards but rather through the examples set by the outreach efforts of Wayne-Holmes communities." Following in the tradition of his family, Dr. Clark has a strong connection with farming. "As a farmer, I understand the satisfaction inherent to hard work in the field and the community's affection for the great outdoors. As a dermatologist, I also comprehend the damage the sun can inflict on farmers and outdoor enthusiasts and the importance of providing dermatology care to our communities." Dr. Shane Clark is the husband of Dr. Sireesha Clark, M.D., an ophthalmologist. The couple joined occupational forces in 2015 necessitating an expansion of the business name to Twin Oaks Dermatology & Eye Surgery. Dr. Sireesha Clark likewise completed her residency at Ohio State where she served as Chief Resident. Hailing from the Cleveland area, Sireesha shares her husband's passion for the rural lifestyle embraced by Wayne and Holmes Counties.
