This content was provided by Dr. Patel "Dr. Patel is a fellowship-trained glaucoma and cataract surgeon, specializing in medical and surgical diseases of the eye, with a focus on medical and surgical glaucoma and modern cataract surgery methods.He first moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1985 and attended high school locally, at North Canyon High School. He completed undergraduate training at Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland, OH, and his Masters in Business Administration in Health Care Administration and He obtained his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and returned to Phoenix to complete his medical internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.Dr. Patel's ophthalmology residency was completed at University Hospital's Eye Institute - Case Western School of Medicine. During his residency, he participated in various research activities, presented at both local and national meetings, and was appointed the Chief Resident of the residency program in his final year. He completed his glaucoma fellowship at the University of Texas-Southwestern in Dallas.In his spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends, and playing basketball and tennis. He is excited to be back in the Valley, and looks forward to meeting you."

While the doctor is fine, this office is the worst for over scheduling. I have never waited less than an hour, and up to 90 minutes just to get in the room! My last visit was at 2; I got out at 5. Last week, they canceled on me, just as my scrip ran out. While the scheduler said she contacted...more

Truly sorry to hear about the long wait and scheduling issues. I assure you it is something we are constantly working on, and understand your frustration. We try to accommodate all emergent patients also, which can change our timeliness. Our sincerest apologies

I feel very confident with Dr Patel. He is taking care of my high pressure in my eyes. He reassured me by telling me not to worry because he can fix what is wrong but he is going conservatively first. I so appreciate that!! He is very busy but will always answer all my questions.

Dr. Patel takes his time explaining the procedure for eye surgery. He is friendly and the staff is excellent and caring to patients. On time with appointments. I would highly recommend him.
