I have never walked out of a doctor's office angry. This was my first and last visit with her, she was recommended by a friend. She did not take the time to know me. She based her diagnosis on family history only. If she had taken the time to listen to me and not assume, she would have learned 2020 was a rough year, beyond the pandemic. I had a follow-up visit with another doctor, who didn't agree with the diagnosis given by Dr. Hawkins. I didn't tell this doctor about what Dr. Hawkins said, until after the exam. Also, after I refused the meds she wanted to prescribe, her attitude towards me changed. She did not go over the EKG with me, she had the nurse do it.

I set a new patient appointment and the person on the phone was either new or uninformed. The initial call was a lengthy process . Then, I did not get a reminder appt. the day before like my old doctor that moved states. I got to the appt. and parked in the large parking lot with tight spaces and walked in. Waited in line and when I got to the window I was not greeted with a smile but an attitude being commanded to wait. Once the front desk lady was ready, she asked for my info, she said you know you are late for your appointment, I said it is at 8:30AM (it was currently 8:32AM). She tells me it was cancelled b/c I have to get there 30 min early for new paperwork! They should have just said the appt was for 8AM. I took off work and declined another new doctor and never even got the chance to see this doctor. I will not be going back for disappointment. Never saw the doctor!

I had an 8:30 am appointment and I arrived a little early. After completing a COVID-19 patient assessment to include a temperature check, I was out of the office by 9:15 am. My time is of the utmost importance, as I work the night shift and had just gotten off work at 0630 am. I appreciate Dr. Hawkins and her staff so much because they truly make my appointments quick and easy. I've been a patient since I moved to Dallas in 2014, and I've never regretted it. I recently found out through having a conversation with friends that she is also their medical provider, both male and female. That spoke volumes to me. Thank you Dr. Hawkins for being an awesome medical provider.

Changing primaries I thought would be hard and after getting referred to dr Hawkins and getting an appointment quickly the staff was patient and accommodating and caring and I didn’t have to wait long and very pleased with my choice there was eye contact and she listened. Matter of fact 4 days later I saw her walking and spoke I lowered my mask and said we just met Monday and she was still kind and said these mask sorry I didn’t recognize you but I did and I’m horrible at names .. so glad my breast surgeon dr Rachael Warren referred me

I have been a patient of Dr. Hawkins for almost 10 years--I find her personable, patient and professional. She (sometimes through her nurse) responds to my questions and needs in a very timely manner. Recently, I was concerned about an office visit required to renew prescriptions (before the COVID changes in Medicare) and requested a Telehealth visit --to which Dr. Hawkins responded and established a phone call re: my prescription renewal. On another note, I had a fall and was in severe pain--after speaking with Dr. Hawkins in the evening (fortunately she was on call) and choosing NOT to go to the ER due to the issue with COVID19, she made time to see me the next day. I appreciate the fact that she always listens and involves me in my care--she is never "dictatorial", but a partner in my well-being!
