Had a painful stomach condition for almost 2 years and her best suggestion after testing was morphine, because she couldn't figure out what the condition was. I subsequently, had a tooth implant done and had to go on a penicillin prescription which not only made the implant go well but also cleared up my stomach condition. Penicillen or morphine?? Is this women out of her mind? Try penicillin first, as after reviewing it with another doctor he confirmed my thoughts. Test, test and money's gone!!

I had left a positive comment about a year ago, hoping it would inspire Dr. Akbar to have a better time. I realize Dr.s are often misunderstood by patients who are sick, and eventually become better understood as healing takes place- however, I have been very apprehensive to trust Dr. Akbar and, particularly her assistant in a recent situation that came up for me. After reading the other negative reviews, I am confirmed in my apprehension and will be looking for a new primary care practitioner.

Dr Akbar walked in the room and said "I only have time to discuss two things with you today" .and this was to supposedly establish care with her. I sat with her for a half hour in which time she had her nose stuck in her computer and kept asking me the same questions over and over. I had to ask her if she was going to examine me, Her scheduler was very snippy and was in a rush to get me out the door. (i think i was the last appt of the day). I will never go back to this Dr.

Doesn't listen to patients doesn't review charts doesn't keep up on things. Mother had cancer in the ovaries they got rid of that but she continued to have many health issues akbar was her doctor the whole time during this she just kept giving mom different pills to try and help well my mom continued to get worse until we finally had to take her into emergency where we found out she had stage 4 lung cancer that also got to the brain because it was caught so late my mom passed away 3 months later

Her office staff is rude and incompetent. I made simple appt.for a referral to a specific place and they messed that up.Seriously incompetent.. can't imagine relying on them for important tasks.

2 is way beneath what any doctor should be getting. It's a doctor not a plumber. Average is bad. Staff is clueless and snippy. Her referral out was general rather than specific and when I called for clarification I got the runaround from her staff. They could at least try to act like they care even if they don't. These are people they are treating, not file folders or computer entries. From top to bottom, really wonder if they know that or not.

The staff there can be snippy and down right unfriendly, but Dr. Akbar has always treated me with respect and courtesy. She listens and appears to genuinely care about what I have to say.

I went through 8 different doctors and didn't like any of them. Dr akbar is wonderful makes me feel ease. Spends plenty of time with me. I trust her very much I would and do recommend her to my friends and family. Easily the best doctor I've ever had.
