This content was provided by Dr. McMillan "In March 2014, Dr. McMillan performed the first 4-RTC repairs in the state using a new type of biologic xenograft patch. The patch is made by a company called Rotation Medical and it is ground breaking in that is allows someone with a partially torn rotator cuff tear that is painful and symptomatic to heal without the need for a length recovery or traditional anchors in the shoulder. It works by being placed onto the native Rotator Cuff and stapled in place. Within a few weeks it grows into the rotator cuff and allows it to thicken up and strengthen the native rotator cuff allowing for amazing healing. This graft continues Dr. McMillan's drive to provide biologic healing alternatives to our patient base."
